I was first in the city to report this exciting news in October, and now have confirmation from official sources of its planned March opening. The store will be located to the left of the Billy Reid boutique.
Jack Spade is owned by New York-based Liz Claiborne. The Jack Spade line is the male component of the Kate Spade line, although each division has its own unique identity. Kate Spade began in 1993 with Jack Spade added in 1997, and their first store opening followed in SoHo in 1999.
For those unfamiliar, Jack Spade's original and still most popular items are their travel and messenger bags of which I'm the proud owner. The brand has evolved as a full-on lifestyle brand complete with ready to wear, shoes, accessories, ties, hats and other pieces. Overall, the prices at Jack Spade are more affordable than those of with Billy Reid or Sid Mashburn, so the store should do well. The three stores attract a similar customer and having them so close should be good for everyone.
Jack Spade is also opening a store in San Francisco. The Atlanta and San Francisco stores will mark the brands 10th and 11th full line domestic locations. Jack Spade also opened their first outlet location at the legendary Woodbury Commons in upstate New York, in addition to having one international location in Tokyo.
The space Jack Spade will occupy at White Provision is only a portion of what is currently being sub-divided for other (likely retail ) tenants. What other shops would you like to see open in White Provision? What is your favorite part of the project? Does the idea of a Jack Spade store in Atlanta excite you?

I have a Jack Spade wallet, I'm excited Atlanta is getting a store, the Westside is really turning into a nice little spot.
I hear that J Crew will be opening a shop, also near Jack Spade. Not 100% sure if it will be "Liquor Store" esque,
much like the NYC version.
