Bits & Bites

A new Denny's recently opened at 5368 North Henry Boulevard in Stockbridge. The building was most recently a combination Long John Silvers / A&W but had sat vacant for years.  Denny's was able to convert the structure for their needs.
A new Bojangles' is expected to open in late August at 1390 Jonesboro Road in McDonough.

Another new Bojangles' is coming to Lafayette in northwest Georgia.  The new freestanding restaurant will be built on Highway 27 near Lake Howard Road.

Starbucks will be opening a new location in a portion of the former MF Sushi / Amura at Terminus in Buckhead.  The new Starbucks will occupy about 2,500 square feet of the nearly 6,000 square foot space.  The space will also be further divided to allow for direct access from the Terminus office building to both Starbucks and the existing Chick-fil-A at the front of the building (Peachtree Road.)  The access hallway will leave room for what will likely become office space. Starbucks had previously closed their nearby location within Atlanta Financial Center in 2009. Today the AFC space is home to Highland Bakery. While Starbucks has stated that they plan to open more locations with drive-thru options, the Terminus location is clearly appealing given its location and visibility.  Sources indicate that the new Starbucks should be open early this fall.

A new Dreamland Bar-B-Que is planned for 3530 West Lawrenceville Street in Duluth.  Dreamland previously closed their Peachtree Corners location following a fire in early 2013.  At first, the restaurant announced plans to rebuild, but they later scrapped those plans. Today, the former Dreamland parcel in Peachtree Corners is being rebuilt as Noble Fin, a new restaurant from Jay Swift.  The upcoming Dreamland restaurant will be the eighth overall for the Birmingham, Alabama-based chain and the second in Georgia.

Aldi opened their newest metro Atlanta location this past week in Suwanee. The new store opened in The Village at Noble Farms at the corner Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and McGinnis Ferry Road.

A new Walmart is coming to Adel, Georgia. Adel is a small community of about 5,000 located off I-75, between Tifton and Valdosta.  The new Walmart will be located near I-75 and Alabama Road, not far from the Factory Stores at Adel.

New locations of Firehouse SubsSpa Sydell and Mattress Firm are planned for 835 Ernest Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw.  The former freestanding La-Z-Boy Furniture store was divided and re-leased to the new tenants.
New Vietnamese eatery Pho King has opened in south Buckhead on Peachtree Road.  Pho King is located in The Shops of Buckhead (2221 Peachtree Road) in south Buckhead.  The new restaurant replaces Sakana Sushi & Grill Japanese Restaurant.

We've been there now twice and their service and organization is having some growing pains from being so new. We're reserving judgement for a few months so they can work out the snags and we'll see if it's getting any better.

As Denny's and Bojangles will soon learn restaurants & retailers looking for success need look no further than Henry County & Atlanta's New South where a goldmine awaits their arrival! Henry County is underserved with 210,000 residents with money to spend driving long distances to shop & eat. Many of our residents say time after time they are tired of having to drive north for restaurants, upscale merchandise, fine Dining & top shelf services. When affluent customers are asking for your services business should be lined up to come to Henry County & as you see they finally are! While Denny's and Bojangle's add to the growing stable of fine dining in Henry County there is room for many more. The biggest underestimation of Henry County is it's draw is far greater than 3-5 miles as shopper south of Macon & north to the city of Atlanta frequent Henry County! Henry County is indeed the place to be for new business success!

Wow, you guys should charge the Henry County Development Authority to advertise here. They don't even have the courage to identify themselves. (see "anonymous" comment above)
