Pappadeaux Planning Lawrenceville Location

Pappadeaux to open new restaurant near popular mall.

A new Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen restaurant is coming to Lawrenceville near Sugarloaf Mills.  The 14,400 square foot restaurant will be built near the corner of Duluth Highway (GA 120) and Newpoint Parkway, just off exit 107 of I-85.  The restaurant will join the PGA Tour Superstore, which opened nearby late last year, having relocated from Venture Drive in Duluth.

Pappadeaux, a division of Houston, Texas-based Pappas Restaurants, currently has three locations in metro Atlanta in Marietta, Norcross and Alpharetta. (The Norcross location, while close to the Lawrenceville site, is about nine miles away.)  Pappas operates a single metro location of their Pappasito's Cantina in Marietta near their Pappadeaux on Windy Hill Road.

Another Pappadeaux  restaurant is planned for Morrow on Southlake Parkway, near Southlake Mall.

According to a restaurant spokesperson, both restaurants are expected to open next year.  Based on current intel, the Lawrenceville location may open in early 2017, followed by the Morrow location soon after.

Are you a fan of Pappadeaux?  Where would you like to see the next Pappadeaux open?  What other restaurants would you like to see open in Lawrenceville?  What would you like to see open in place of the former Johnny Carino' s on North Brown Road just outside Sugarloaf Mills?

Please share your thoughts below.

Good love some Pappadeaux but the JCB location is bad the parking lot is dangerous. TBH don't care for Sugarloaf Mills either but would feel safer for a while. Always packed with good brisk business just not mine due to the location. The Morrow location will make the Henry County Promotion Team sooooo happy!

Pappadeaux is not bad, but the Pappas family's best concept is their steakhouse. I ate at the one in Dallas and it was spectacular. It's on the level of Bones/Chops/Capital Grille. They also have a BBQ concept but I haven't tried it yet.

Since Pappas seems to be doing well in Atlanta Metro, I wish they would open another one of their concepts. I love Pappasito's. I am not a fan of Pappadeaux. But I assume Pappadeaux does very well in Atlanta if that's the one they expand. Though as someone who passes the Windy Hill locations daily, I can tell you that both restaurants are racking in the business. They should try one of their other concepts nearby!

Just ate at Pappasito's last night. We happened to be up in Cobb County for an event. Please open a Pappasito's next to or near the Pappadeaux planned for the Lawrenceville location (like at Windy Hill). Gwinnett County needs better options. Pappasito's never disappoints.

I'm a current Pappadeaux employee and I am highly excited about this new location!

It would be nice to see a Pappadeaux restaurant open in Columbus, GA. The locals, as well as the military community would embrace it whole heartedly.

It would be nice to see a Pappadeaux restaurant be opened in Columbus, GA. The locals, as well as the military community ,would embrace the new establishment whole heartedly. I ate at one of the Houston locations and it is a wonderful place to dine and it would be a great addition to the other Columbus area eateries.

I would love to have a Papadeaux near the Stonecrest Mall in Lithonia, GA and also in Charlotte, NC. So very happy for the one that's opening in Lawrenceville. I work in Lawrenceville and Papadeaux is my FAVORITE restaurant so I'll definitely be doing lunch there at least once a week!!!

I would love to have a Papadeaux's some where south of Airport. There is so much industry and money down this part of the Georgia.
