In November, ToNeTo Atlanta was first to share details of Jennifer Rotondo's Crafthall Kitchen, a micro food hall planned for Sandy Springs. At the time, the plan was to feature four concepts: fried chicken [Fowl and Scratch], chicken wings [Sugar Britches], bowls [Bowl Cookhouse] and tacos [Salty Bandita]. Given that the overall concept is a work in progress, some things have changed.
Fowl and Scratch and Bowl Cookhouse are both still slated to be part of Crafthall. Sugar Britches, however, has been replaced by Urban Sammie, featuring "sandwiches of distinction." Rotondo tells ToNeTo Atlanta that an element of Sugar Britches - wings by the pound - will be offered at Fowl and Scratch.
The final concept, originally slated to be Salty Bandita, could still open as a taco joint, but Rotondo is not yet convinced it's the right fit, and has enlisted ToNeTo Atlanta readers to assist her in making the final decision. In addition to Salty Bandita, Rotondo has two other concepts she is considering to round out the initial four.
Salt & Pfeffer - all day brunch featuring potato hash bowls, grit bowls and sweet & savory topped waffles
Olive + Bloke - modern Italian, featuring baked pastas, antipasti, pizzettas and handheld street fare
Those interested in having a voice in the final decision are encouraged to vote for the concept they would most like to see open via the Crafthall facebook page. Voting began yesterday and will end Sunday, January 21.
The winning concept will be announced in February via the Crafthall Kitchen facebook page.
As discussed previously, the initial four concepts may change over time. New concepts may be tested, while others, if proven successful, may be launched as stand-alone businesses.
Crafthall Kitchen will be located in Perimeter Square West, the REI and Goodwill anchored center on Perimeter Center West in Sandy Springs. Crafthall will occupy about 1,600 square feet in the remaining space left from Genghis Grill to the left of Tiff's Treats, which occupies the other portion of the failed Asian eatery.
Rotondo tells ToNeTo Atlanta that she hopes to have Crafthall Kitchen open in March.

I give this place 6 months from whenever it opens. Wrong location for any business after 4 pm.
This new place does not even sound interesting. The location is a bad place. It's an area that I don' t go to but about once a year. This new restaurant will really have to have something very good at a reasonable price for me to go. As of now I don't even understand the menu as described. If you want to have something good and different you should open a family meat and two restaurant A place good for families without a bar. I just hate to expose my family to the bar crowd, especially after they have had a couple drinks.
