A new location of Chicken Salad Chick is coming to Sandy Plains Centre in Sandy Plains. The new restaurant, which will reportedly occupy a newly formed 2,400 square foot space in the Kroger anchored shopping center, will be the chain's third outpost in Cobb County joining existing restaurants in East Cobb and Kennesaw.
Auburn, Alabama-based Chicken Salad Chick was started in 2008 by Stacy Brown and her late husband Kevin and currently has over 60 locations open with over 100 more "in development."
Chicken Salad Chick's menu features 15 original chicken salad flavors, as well as gourmet soups, side salads and freshly-baked desserts. As a company, Chicken Salad Chick restaurants primarily serve lunch and dinner and are closed on Sunday.
Origin Development Group, an Atlanta-based restaurant development fund founded by Darren DeVore and Lauren Fernandez, currently operates a total of ten Chicken Salad Chick restaurants in Georgia. The group specializes in suburban locations with restaurants in Peachtree City, Athens, Alpharetta, Roswell, Kennesaw, Augusta, Evans (near Augusta), Vinings and Cumming. Origin's first intown location opened last July on Roswell Road in north Buckhead near Chastain Park.
The existing Marietta location, in a 2,800 square foot space in Providence Square on Roswell Road, is the only metro Atlanta location not owned by Origin.
Are you excited for the opening of Chicken Salad Chick in Sandy Plains? Are you amazed that a chain serving a menu of basically only chicken salad can be so successful? Where would you like to see the next Chicken Salad Chick open?

I loved Chicken Salad Chick even before they became a chain (I used to stop by in Opelika on my way to FL). I am happy to see them building more locations but sadly still none are close enough for me to pop in for lunch - would love to have one near Perimeter Mall or in Brookhaven.
they are closed, have not been oppn now for two weeks.
Is this a permanent thing?
