Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe has closed its location within Lenox Square's "Fashion Cafe" in Buckhead. The restaurant, a franchise of the Birmingham, Alabama based chain, opened in place of Subway in early 2016 and closed quietly within the past few days, according to local readers. The Lenox outpost was one of several that a local franchise group opened in metro Atlanta over the past several years.
The closure of the Lenox Taziki's follows the closure of the Taziki's on West Ponce de Leon Avenue in Decatur last May. The former Decatur location reopened earlier this year as Pho King, offering traditional Vietnamese fare.
The closure of Buckhead Taziki's leaves the chain with six locations in Georgia: Sandy Springs, Toco Hills, Kennesaw, Suwanee, Alpharetta and Athens.
Are you surprised that Taziki's closed in Lenox Square? What is your favorite eatery in the Lenox Square "Fashion Cafe?" What would you like to see open in place of Taziki's at Lenox Square?

Put Barnie’s Coffee and Tea back in that space. The food court at Lenox is lacking a coffee place.
Super average food. I ate at the Alpharetta location a few years back and it was completely non-memorable. I haven't been to the one at Toco despite living very close.
