[DEALS] Ollie's Bargain Outlet to Debut First ITP Atlanta Store in Chamblee

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet is opening it’s first ITP Atlanta location. The new store, which will occupy a space most recently home to Shoppers World, is opening in Plaza Fiesta, along Buford Highway in Chamblee.  The Harrisburg, Pennsylvania-based discount retailer, which competes with Big Lots, currently has nearly two dozen locations in Georgia including stores in Snellville, Duluth, Marietta, Mableton & Newnan, among others.

Ollie’s is known for their wide selection of merchandise, especially in toys and books.  In addition, the company's stores often stock a variety of  food, clothes, housewares, major appliances, small, pet products, rugs, furniture, domestics and health & beauty products, among other merchandise.  Ollie's is one of the largest retailers of closeout merchandise and excess inventory and proudly proclaims that it offers "Good Stuff Cheap."

In Plaza Fiesta, Ollie’s joins fellow national off-price retailer Ross Dress For Less and fitness franchise Planet Fitness, as well as dozens of smaller shops.  Plaza Fiesta, originally known as Buford-Clairmont Mall, first opened in 1968, but was transformed into a Hispanic-oriented center in 2000 and today attracts tremendous crowds to its niche market.

That said, given that the former Burlington space in which Ollie's is opening has been vacant for months, yet the parking lot is still often packed, parking for Ollie's will definitely be at a premium.

The new Chamblee store will celebrate its Grand Opening Wednesday, February 12.

Ollie's is kinda fun, once you get pass their shtick. I've developed my method to peruse the aisles, avoiding the flooring racks that seem to hold permanent residents. I do find some useful good stuff cheap sometimes.

Yes, parking will be a challenge.
