[OPENING ALERT] Original ChopShop to Open Third Atlanta Area Location in October

After several delays, a few unforeseen challenges, and a pre-opening location pivot, metro Atlanta will in September welcome a third outpost of healthy fast- casual eatery Original ChopShop.  The new restaurant at 10920 Haynes Bridge Road, Suite 200 replaces Bolay, which vacated the roughly 3,800 square foot space this past October after a little more than a year in business.

Original ChopShop entered the Atlanta market in November 2022 with an outpost along Peachtree Road near Peachtree Battle.  A second location debuted this past August along Cobb Parkway, just south of Cumberland Mall.

The fast-casual eatery's menu features a rather diverse roster of offerings with several protein bowls, wraps, sandwiches, and salads in addition to acai and pitaya bowls, avocado toast, other breakfast wraps and bowls, protein shakes, and cold brew coffee.  Fresh juices and lemonades, sides like sweet potato hash with kale and onion, plus a kids' menu are also offered.  The restaurant is open throughout the day for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Our favorites include the "Sunrise Wrap" with egg white, tomato, onion, sweet potato, white cheddar, and avocado pesto ($9), the "Green Curry Tofu Bowl" with green onion, sesame seed, cilantro, sugar snap pea, roasted veggies and sweet potato hash ($12.50), and the "Muscle Malt," a protein shake with banana, all-natural peanut butter, malt, chocolate whey protein powder, sugar-free chocolate syrup and non-fat milk ($7.50).

There are currently twenty-three locations of the Original ChopShop open in Arizona, Georgia, and Texas, with five more, including the Alpharetta outpost, "coming soon," according to the company's website.  The company is actively looking to grow in Georgia, too, but like so many other operators, has found it challenging to secure prime metro locations given how scarce they are and how competitive spaces have become.

Original ChopShop Alpharetta is currently targeting a September 11 25 October 9 opening.

Have you been to Original ChopShop? What is your favorite quick-serve healthy eatery?  Where in metro Atlanta would you like to see Original ChopShop open next?

We live near the Peachtree Battle one and gave it a try once. It was pricey, which is to be expected, but the food just wasn’t that good in my opinion. Haven’t returned, so not sure how their business is going…

It’s not that good, and the service isn’t good either. They don’t really seem to care. The menu is boring and once you’ve been a few times, it’s not worth going back.

Oy veh! I had really wanted to give them a try however after your feedback, I will spend my shekels elsewhere. Maybe I’ll go to SabaRaba in Chamblee.

Headed to Peachtree Battle location for a bowl or salad. Viewed the menu and was shocked at the prices when I saw the small sizes of the products ordered by others. Went three doors down to Willy's and got a heaping burrito bowl full of veggies for under $10.00. Every other time I have passed by, chop shop is empty.
