They say things come in threes. Following recent news of local closures within the McDonald's and Wendy's franchise system, a ToNeTo Atlanta reader alerted us to the quiet closure of a metro Burger King franchise, too!
The Tucker restaurant, along with 34 others around metro Atlanta, was purchased in 2023 by Mosaic Gold Crown Group. The 35 restaurants Mosaic purchased were part of a total of 170 units across the southeast put up for auction following the bankruptcy and liquidation of Premier Kings, a former Burger King franchisee.
It's unclear if Mosaic closed more than the Tucker location or what plans there may be for the now former burger joint.
Burger King's closure in Tucker follows the closure of the McDonald's on LaVista Road near Northlake in October 2023.
Are you surprised to see Burger King close in Tucker? What bank would you most like to see replace Burger King in Tucker? What is currently your favorite Tucker area restaurant?

Had no idea premier kings went BK. Was truly mortified to learn that their founder, Patrick Sidhu passed away in 2022. We didn’t talk often, but we did exchange texts the week he passed in May 2022. Sadly, now I know why my several following texts went un-responded. Patrick was the best. 49 is too young!
I'm not surprised to see any Burger King, McDonald's or Wendy's close. There are so many better options out there. As far as my favorite restaurants in Tucker, they are Marlowes & Jason's Deli. I know there are lots of unique places in downtown Tucker but I think the town needs to do a better job at showing where the parking lots are that can be used. I'm not doing street parking. I know I'm missing out on some good places but street parking is too stressful.

🤣
I am a little surprised to see BK close, yet I know their prices keep increasing, while the size of their product keeps decreasing. Their single burger is the size of a slider or Krystal burger now. I don’t think another bank is needed. My favorite Ticket restaurant is Local 7
This BK originally opened in the 60's and occupied the site where the LongHorn Steakhouse currently is located in Tucker.
Village Burger could occupy that space they need more space…. And I hated the local 7 the service was racially terrible and have not been back since… that was last year

I don't dine much in the area. Lately, my favorite restaurant has been getting takeout from Panda Express. It's been years since I've been there, but not far away in Clarkston the Brockett Pub was actually pretty good. Marlowe's is typically good. The heyday of Tucker/Nlake dining was probably around 40 years ago.
Street parking is too stressful? Oh my. Say you're from the south without saying you're from the south.
Well, we are in the South, aren’t we? What a stupid comment.
I gave up on this BK location long ago. Besides the smell of marijuana lofting through the parking lot, the owners severely understaffed the place--can't blame the staff entirely when they have 1-2 people running the whole place alone. I ordered one sandwich in drive-thru once and it took 25 minutes to complete the order--with no other customers in line or inside.
I would have demanded my money back and left.
I would have eaten the sandwich then stuck my finger down my throat and puked it up right on the cash register.
That would have been very Stupid to do. Why eat it and make yourself throw it back up? DUH 😅 🤣
Why eat it and demand your money back? 🤪😵💫
Stupid stupid
I went there recently and was given moldy bread. Yeah good riddance to them.
Well if it was “given” to you, you didn’t pay for it. So, what’s your complaint?
