Just over two years after its Atlanta debut, trendy plant-based restaurant PLANTA has closed. The restaurant, located at Krog Street Market (99 Krog Street) in Inman Park, debuted June 30, 2023, and was soon joined by a sibling restaurant PLANTA Queen, an Asian influenced fellow plant-based eatery, on December 26, 2023.
Lure Saltwater Kitchen & Bar has been listed for sale and will soon close. The restaurant, located at 1106 Crescent Avenue in Midtown, first opened in July 2012. Originally known simply as "Lure," the restaurant rebranded as Lure Saltwater Kitchen & Bar this past September and revamped its menu, too.

Chick-fil-A has announced it will be closing its longstanding outpost at the The Mall at Stonecrest (2929 Turner Hill Road) in Lithonia. The food court restaurant has been in business since the mall opened in October 2001, but will close permanently as of July 31.

The owners of Simply Done Donuts announced Thursday that they will be closing their popular Duluth donut shop after nearly ten years in business. The shop is located at 3550 W. Lawrenceville Street #340 in downtown Duluth.

After about eleven and half years in Alpharetta , Salt Factory Pub has closed. The eatery, located at 102 South Main Street, officially closed as of July 6, according to a message on the restaurant's website. Sandy Springs just got a new southern eatery. Magnolia's Kitchen & Cocktails officially opened July 10 at The Prado at 5600 Roswell Road #230 in Sandy Springs. The new eatery replaces Under the Cork Tree, which occupied the roughly 5,000 square foot space for nearly ten years before closing as of July 9.
Intown residents will soon have one less option for genuine hospitality and affordable food. Boyd Baker of Howdy ATL biscuit cafe has announced he will be closing his Grant Park eatery after three years in business.
The Citizens Culinary Market era at Phipps Plaza is over. The struggling food hall is closing in favor of an independent food hall from Phipps Plaza owner Simon Property Group. Work to remove Citizens signage from the venue has started, with the mall already marketing the space as "Food Hall at Phipps."
