All three remaining locations of Yumbii have closed. The fast casual Korean & Mexican restaurants had been listed for sale in December and remain on the market with local broker Steve Josovitz of The Shumacher Group.
Young, along with his wife Katy, would go on to open additional locations in Toco Hills (August 2020), Moores Mill (October 2022), Old Milton Parkway in Alpharetta (April 2023), and Midtown Promenade (October 2023). A location was announced for Chamblee Plaza in 2019, but it was cancelled in 2020. The Youngs also launched a sibling concept, The Queso Shop, with locations in Toco Hills and Moores Mill, both adjacent to Yumbii.
The Alpharetta location, situated in small strip center across from Avalon, closed "temporarily" in November 2023, but never reopened, marking the concept's shortest stint. The original location in Brookwood Hills closed in September 2024 and seemed to foreshadow the uncertain future of the once promising concept. (The former Alpharetta location is now home to PRU Thai Kitchen, while the former Brookwood Hills location reopened this past November as Atlanta's first Beyond Juicery franchise.)
The Queso Shop/commissary space at Toco Hills was quietly subleased to Derrick Hays of Big Dave's Cheesesteaks for him to launch "Seaboyz," a blue crab eatery, in December 2024. Seaboyz was reportedly not approved by landlord Edens, but did remain open for several months before closing sometime in March, according to social media posts. (The one-off concept seemingly decamped to Chastain Meadows Parkway in Marietta this past October.)
The three remaining Yumbii locations reportedly closed in recent days.
According to the sales listings, the three remaining units - Toco Hills, Moores Mill, and Midtown - are being offered for $200,000 each or $600,000 inclusive of the catering business and food truck too. Books, records, name, brand, and recipes are not included in the individual sales, but brand, recipes and name are included in the purchase of all three Yumbiis. Would-be buyers are invited to keep the restaurants as is or convert them to any landlord approved concept.
The specific locations and details are as follows:

I’ve only eaten at Yumbii once and sadly, it was enough. My friends & I didn’t enjoy it
