Casual Italian quick-serve restaurant chain Fazoli's has closed its restaurant in Newnan after about two years in business. The ground up restaurant building opened at 207 Bullsboro Drive on August 20, 2024 and reportedly closed quietly over the weekend.
A sign on the restaurant's door indicates that it is permanently closed and it has been removed from the Fazoli's website, but its Google listing indicates only that it's "temporarily closed."
The Newnan restaurant had a respectable 4.5/5 star rating on Google with more than 330 reviews.

The chain - which was established in 1988 and at its peak in 2004 had 400 locations - today has about 150. When the Newnan location opened, it was the eighth in the state but following its closure there are just two left in Georgia: Ft. Oglethorpe near Chattanooga and Cartersville.
The majority of the chain's Georgia locations have been in smaller markets around the state but they did have one in metro Atlanta, along Scenic Highway in Snellville that was replaced in 2012 by a Del Taco that closed (along with all others in the state) this past February.
A new Fazoli's opened in Statesboro in a former Steak 'n Shake in Statesboro in 2021 but it closed about a year later and was replaced with a Mattress Firm.
The chain has had several owners over its nearly forty-year history and was sold this past June, along with twelve other restaurant brands, to FBG Bid Co. for $595 million, after its former owner FAT Brands filed for bankruptcy in January.
The roughly 3,300 square foot Newnan restaurant sits on about 2.9 acres and is being offered for sale for $3 million.

Wasn't the best spot for a restaurant. You have to live in the neighborhood, or visit social media to know that it was there.
There was also a Fazolis location on Molly Lane in Woodstock in the early 2000s. It closed in the late 2000s if I am not mistaken - and is now a Seeds Thrift Boutique.
