[EXCLUSIVE] Swig to Bring its Sugary Sodas to Several More Suburban Sites

Swig, the "dirty" soda chain that officially debuted its first metro Atlanta location October 1 in Brookhaven, has at least three more locations in the immediate pipeline.

Planning materials reviewed by ToNeTo Atlanta confirm that new Swig locations are planned for both Woodstock in Cherokee County and Cumming in Forsyth County.

In Woodstock, Subway will soon close their longstanding restaurant along Highway 92 to make way for a new Swig.  Planning materials confirm that the new Swig is planned for 9980 Highway 92 (Alabama Road), at its intersection with Main Street in Cherokee County.

According to property records, the existing Subway building was constructed in 1987 as a KFC and sits on about a half acre.  The building measures 2,296 square feet and includes a highly sought after drive-thru that will be retained for use by Swig.

In Cumming, the new Swig will be built from the ground up as part of the new Forsyth Town Center project at Ronald Reagan Boulevard and Peachtree Parkway, across from The Collection at Forsyth.  The new project is anchored by Whole Foods Market and is also expected to welcome several new restaurants including Roti Modern Mediterranean, a growing chain on which ToNeTo Atlanta exclusively reported September 10 would be joining the development.

Established in St. George, Utah in 2010, Swig has today grown to a chain of more than 180 locations across seventeen states, with its strongest presence is in its home market, where it operates about fifty units.

Swig is most well-known for its "dirty sodas," soft drinks mixed with add-ins such as cream and flavored syrups.  The shops also feature pretzel bites and cookies among other offerings.

The company first entered the Georgia market in January 2025 with a location on Battlefield Parkway in Fort Oglethorpe near Chattanooga. The Brookhaven unit, which replaced a former McDonald's, was first reported by ToNeTo Atlanta October 6, 2025.

A new Swig location is also planned as part of the Birch House development near Gwinnett Field (formerly Coolray Field) along Buford Drive in Lawrenceville, with others said to be "in the works" in Kennesaw and Snellville.

ToNeTo Atlanta reported October 15, 2025 that a new Swig was planned along North Druid Hills Road in Toco Hills but we learned in August that the location has been abandoned.

Have you ever been to Swig?  Are you pleased to see Swig expanding in metro Atlanta?  What other types of businesses would you like to see expand in metro Atlanta?
