A new kind of pizza shop is coming soon to metro Atlanta. Ah-Beetz New Haven Pizza, a pizza franchise based in Delray Beach, is opening the first of what could be several locations in Georgia. The new restaurant is located at 125 Barrett Parkway in Marietta.
Laudano opened the first location in Delray Beach in 2017, later expanding to a larger location within the same center in 2024. According to the Ah-Beetz website, there are currently four locations open - all in Florida - with online reports indicating a fifth is coming soon to Port Saint Lucie.
The Marietta restaurant will be located in Barrett Creek Plaza, a small strip center already home to several restaurants such as Buffalo Wild Wings, Dos Bros Fresh Mexican Grill, and Cheeseburger Bobby's. The new Ah-Beetz replaces the locally owned Twisted Kitchen, which has now closed all of its locations after earlier closures in Midtown and Smyrna.
Work is already underway to transform the 2,000 square foot space into the new pizza shop with plans to open in August. Emanuele Cardaci and a group of partners are bringing the franchise to Marietta with plans to open additional units in the suburbs and potentially downtown Atlanta in the months and years to come, according to a post Cardaci made on LinkedIn.
If you're one to give weight to the opinions of Dave Portnoy and his "One Bite" pizza ratings, you'll be pleased to know that the internet personality gave the original Delray Beach location an 8.4 on a visit in 2023. Portnoy awarded an 8.9 rating to fellow Florida-import pizza shop Mister O1 Extraordinary which opened this past March at City Springs in Sandy Springs and is preparing to open in Buckhead in the coming weeks.
Who do you think currently offers the best pizza in Marietta? Where else in metro Atlanta would you like to see Ah-Beetz open? Who do you rely on for fair and accurate food critiques?

Even if this is supposedly the phonetic spelling of apizza, when I hear the name of a restaurant like this I’m expecting the comeback of something like Sweet Tomatoes, not a pizza place.
