The Toco Hills location of indie vendor business Westside Market is closing on December 31. The market opened in March 2018 and was the second location to open of the locally owned business. The roughly 14,000 square foot space was far smaller than the flagship and original location on Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard which measures about 85,000 square feet. Real estate sources tell ToNeTo Atlanta that the Toco Hills location struggled financially for years and that its size limited its sales potential. The store was reportedly on a short-term lease that was not renewed, with the landlord (Edens) opting to pursue a long-term lease with another, as yet undisclosed, tenant. Following its closure at Toco Hills, the original Westside location will remain open as well another on Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell and one in Greenville, South Carolina.
The Talbots store at Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody closed as December 20. In case you forgot it existed, the women's clothing and accessories retailer was located on the mall's second floor not far from Von Maur. A previously announced location at 4165 Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth was abandoned and there has been no update on when or if any metro Atlanta locations will open.
A new branch of PNC Bank is coming to the former home of a popular pancake spot in Atlanta. The new bank is opening in Cheshire Square in place of where Original Pancake House closed last August after 35 years in business. The 4,000 square foot space was marketed for lease soon after the restaurant closed, but given its size and age, restaurant replacement interest was limited. The new bank will reportedly not have a drive-thru, unlike the existing Wells Fargo bank branch within the center. There is also a drive-up Bank of America ATM to the right of the subject property, closer to Publix. The new PNC will be located at 2321 Cheshire Bridge Road, about three miles from where the Pittsburgh-based bank closed a branch on North Druid Hills Road near Toco Hills several years ago.

According to the Sally's website, the pizzeria currently has seven locations open in Connecticut and Massachusetts with five more "coming soon." Sally's and its "New Haven-style" pizza have many fans but perhaps most noteworthy to many young pizza aficionados is the stellar 9.2/10 rating that Barstool Sports-founder and "One Bite" pizza reviewer David Portnoy gave the shop. There is no word yet on where or when any Atlanta area location of Sally's may open.
