Stop us if you've heard this before: a restaurant expected to open months ago had its debut delayed due to permit challenges in City of Atlanta. Original ChopShop, a new to market fast casual eatery, hopes to finally open its first Atlanta area outpost Wednesday November 9 at Peachtree Square (2274 Peachtree Road) in south Buckhead.
ToNeTo Atlanta first reported this past October that Original ChopShop would make their Atlanta debut in south Buckhead. We later reported that the Arizona-based chain was opening a second location in Alpharetta near North Point Mall and later a third location on Cobb Parkway near Cumberland Mall.
Original ChopShop features a rather diverse menu with several protein bowls, wraps, sandwiches and salads in addition to acai and pitaya bowls, avocado toast, other breakfast wraps and bowls, protein shakes and cold brew coffee. Fresh juices and lemonades as well as sides like sweet potato hash with kale and onion, as well as a kids' menu, are also offered.
There are currently seventeen locations of the Original ChopShop open in Arizona and Texas with eight more, including the three Atlanta area outposts, "coming soon" in the next year, according to the company's website.
Sources close to the chain tell ToNeTo Atlanta that current plans call for the opening of the south Buckhead location to be followed by Alpharetta early next year, and Cumberland during the first half of 2023.
Have you been to Original ChopShop? What is your favorite quick-serve healthy eatery? Where in metro Atlanta would you like to see Original ChopShop open next?

sounds like another over priced salad restaurant. Would rather go to Willy's next door for one of their loaded bowls, which will be dollars cheaper.
@Anon @ 2:47PM - sounds like you haven't even looked at their menu or read the post. They have salads, but it's not a salad restaurant. Salad is about 1/4 of their menu.
Sounds like a marriage between Cava and Sweet Greens.
I'm turned off from it by one word: "bowls".
