Patak Meat Products, a manufacturer of fine European meats and sausages, announced February 13 that it is suspending its retail store operations. The company referred to the closure as "temporary" but gave no indication as to when or if the retail store would reopen. As of now the store is slated to close as of March 1.

After a string of violent incidents, RaceTrac has decided to close its short-lived Downtown Atlanta location. Newly updated signage and the HomeGoods website confirm that the new HomeGoods in Hammond Exchange shopping center is due to open on Thursday, February 29. Mediterranean fast casual eatery Sahara Cafe has closed its outpost in Chastain Park after nearly four years in business. The restaurant, located at 4285 Roswell Road in the Publix-anchored Chastain Square shopping center, opened in June 2020 and closed as of February 19, according to co-owner Hussein Hussein. A sibling location that opened this past September near North Point Mall in Alpharetta remains opens.
Atlanta could soon get an exciting new grocer. Grocery Outlet, a discount grocer currently found primarily on the West Coast where the company is based, this past week announced it had acquired United Grocery Outlet, a similar but smaller chain based in Athens, Tennessee.

Raising Cane's is slated to open its latest metro Atlanta location in February. The new restaurant, on which ToNeTo Atlanta first reported October 2022, is opening at 9893 Hwy 92 in Woodstock. Raising Cane's redeveloped two parcels to make way for their roughly 2,700 square foot restaurant. The primary parcel was most recently home to a Velox insurance office but was built as Mrs. Winner's Chicken & Biscuits.
Eddie's Trick Shop announced this week they are closing after nearly 50 years in business. The shop, currently located on the Marietta Square, sells costumes, novelties, clown, and magic merchandise, and is currently offering nearly all merchandise at 60 percent off. The store's "closing sale" is expected to run for the next two weeks, but the store could close sooner depending on sales velocity.
