[ALERT] For The First Time in More Than a Decade The Cheesecake Factory Has A New Location Coming to Metro Atlanta

A new location of The Cheesecake Factory is coming to metro Atlanta and it's not the size or location you might expect.  While most existing locations of The Cheesecake Factory are close to 10,000 square feet, the new one will be about 6,500 square feet, part of a push by the Beverly Hills-based concept to expand into smaller markets with smaller locations.

The new restaurant is slated to open at The Collection Forsyth in Cumming.  The new Cheesecake Factory will open at 410 Peachtree Parkway, Suite 242, in place of Wild Wing Cafe, which closed at the mixed-use development December 1, 2024.

At The Collection, Cheesecake Factory joins several other casual sit-down restaurants including Ted's Montana Grill, Carrabba's Italian Grill, Marlow's Tavern, Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q, and Red Robin.

The Cheesecake Factory first entered the Atlanta market in 1993 with a location on Peachtree Road in Buckhead marking just the eighth nationwide for the chain.  That location later moved to Lenox Square in 2014.  The company also operates restaurants in Dunwoody (Perimeter Mall, 2000) Alpharetta (North Point Mall, 2004), Cumberland (Cumberland Mall, 2006), and its "newest" in Buford (Mall of Georgia, 2013).

In addition to opening smaller restaurants, Cheesecake Factory is also looking to grow some of its smaller brands.  Many of these smaller brands were acquired in 2019 as part of the company acquisition of Fox Restaurant Concepts and include brands such as The Henry, Culinary Dropout, North Italia, and Flower Child, the latter three concepts with existing Atlanta area units.

The company currently operates Flower Child restaurants in Buckhead, Sandy Springs, and West Midtown; North Italia restaurants in Buckhead and Dunwoody; and Culinary Dropout in Dunwoody.  (Culinary Dropout closed in West Midtown in January 2025 after about thirteen months in business)

One brand not being expanded is Grand Lux Cafe, which the company closed at Phipps Plaza in Buckhead in May 2023 and has shrunk as a chain to just seven units nationally.

Construction on the new Cheesecake Factory in Cumming is already underway, and it should open before the end of the year.

Are you excited for the opening of The Cheesecake Factory in Cumming?  Where else in metro Atlanta would you like to see Cheesecake Factory open?  What other Cheesecake Factory owned brand would you like to see open or expand in metro Atlanta?

Oh I love that! Such a big menu, you never have to eat the same thing twice!

While it languishes for months on end in the deep freeze.

I love their salads! I don’t think the fresh vegetables are from the deep freeze, but maybe that’s something that can be done now.

Big menu means precooked frozen reheated food. Which is what they serve

@Frozen guy - check your facts. If you don't like the place, don't go. But your comment is wrong.

Went to Sleazecake Factory twice, my first and last time. Overpriced, mediocre food for the tragically rich and beautiful people that want to be seen.

Not a chicken place. The ITPers will not be pleased.

I can't imagine the North Point location is doing all that well by TCF standards. This is possibly a replacement for it once its lease expires.

California mediocrity.

Rich and beautiful lmao??? The food is like $25. If you’re broke just say that lol.

You will be.

He only eats where everything is fresh. Meat killed minutes before cooking, vegetables just ripped out of the dirt, eggs just pooped of the chicken, bread baked immediately from flour just ground out of wheat ripped out of the ground minutes before. Butter just churned in the kitchen from milk straight out of a cow less than an hour before eating it. Salt dried out of seawater in a giant tank out back. Nothing ever refrigerated or frozen or canned or jarred or packaged in any way.

Tragically rich and beautiful? I lol'ed hard. Bougie foodies and the fancy set wouldn't be caught dead there

Cheesecake Factory is a great place for the poors to congregate.

Smaller locations have smaller menus. They prototyped this smaller-format concept in Oxnard, CA and it has a reduced menu.

Did they fix the rat problem at sleezecake Lenox ? The rat ran across the dining room and was the size of a small dog. It was on ticktock.

Come to Savannah or Augusta. There are already enough locations in the Atlanta Metro area!?! There are no other cities in Georgia that have one.

What about other cities in Georgia? Why can’t Augusta, Savannah, or Columbus get one?

Why can’t Warwick or Dublin or Metter get one?
