[EXCLUSIVE] New Burger Spot Hopes to "Stand a Chance" in Atlanta Debut

A new eatery called NADC Burger is looking to open soon in Summerhill in southeast Atlanta.  NADC - Not A Damn Chance - is coming to 77 Georgia Avenue where it will open in place of Junior's Pizza which closed in December 2024 after seven years in business.

Not A Damn Chance opened its first permanent, brick-and-mortar location in East Austin, Texas (1007 E. Sixth St.) in late 2023. Founded by chef Phillip Frankland Lee and pro skater Neen Williams, the concept grew from a 2022 pop-up into what is now an eleven-unit chain across seven states.

NADC is known for its 100% Wagyu cheeseburgers and features an incredibly concise menu.  In addition to the Wagyu cheeseburgers, there is a kids' burger option, 100% beef tallow fries, and a brown butter chocolate chip cookie.  That's about it.  Based on online research, most locations seem to offer a variety of bottled, non-alcoholic beverages, too.

Pricing seems pretty consistent across locations with the signature double patty Wagyu cheeseburger priced at $16, the single Wagyu kids' cheeseburger $8, and the fries priced at $5.

The chain currently operates in Austin, Dallas, and Fort Worth, Texas; Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York City, and Charlotte, with the Atlanta unit representing its eighth overall state.

Summerhill restaurants have had mixed results in recent months.  Boca and Rusty Taco were both listed for sale in 2025, but each later closed after being unsuccessful in finding buyers for their respective businesses.

Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken is slated to open its fifth Atlanta area location when it opens alongside Piedmont Healthcare at 572 Hank Aaron Drive at the Publix-anchored Summerhill Station.

Have you been to NADC Burger?  Are you excited about the opening of a new burger spot in Summerhill?  What other types of eateries would you like to see open in the neighborhood?

Excited for this new spot.

Rusty Taco closing was entirely the business's own fault. I went three times, and each time service was both slow and bad. The product was fine, but getting three tacos and a margarita should not take an hour.
