The owners of a new restaurant called Pretty Bird Rotisserie hope to open by the end of June in a familiar space on the Westside. The new quick serve eatery is opening at 1971 Howell Mill Road where Savannah's Zunzi's closed this past November after about six and half years in business.
The roughly 2,200 square foot space has been renovated to suit the needs of the new concept but was fortunately already built out in a way that made the transition relatively easy.
This will be the first Pretty Bird Rotisserie and is unrelated to Pretty Bird Chicken, an existing four-unit hot chicken chain based in Salt Lake City.
The owners liken Pretty Bird to a newer, better version of Boston Market, with similar options but of a higher quality. Although not mentioned by them, the concept would also seem to be similar to Roasters, a local spot with locations on Lenox Road in Buckhead and on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs.
Are you pleased to see a new rotisserie chicken spot opening on the Westside? What is your all-time favorite side dish? What other types of restaurants would you like to see open in the area?

Do they know we can get $5 cooked rotisserie whole chickens at Costco?
ITP is on a roll!
Good point!
High hopes for this place. I miss Boston Market (and even more so Kenny Rogers Roasters). Great homestyle meals as a change of pace from most quick serve or fast food options.
You can go to McDonald's to get a hamburger too
Roasters has great chicken tenders!
When I go to McDonald’s I usually get a quarter pounder with no ketchup, French fries and a coke with light ice
I miss Tanner's.
I wish them well. Never had any desire to try Zunzi's, the name of their sauce was a total turn-off.
Yeah I never understood why people think cursing in their business names is a good idea
Yup agreed. No need to be offensive
