Bad Daddy's Burger Bar will not be reopening its restaurant on Peachtree Boulevard in Chamblee. The restaurant, located at 5070 Peachtree Boulevard in the street level of the Windsor Parkview apartments, opened January 8, 2018, and has been closed since May 11 when a fire broke out on the roof of the apartment complex.
Bad Daddy's was one of several businesses that have been closed in the months since, as a result not only of the fire, but the resulting water damage, too. Other restaurants like The Alden, Rreal Tacos, Playa Bowls, and Freddo, a gelato spot which had just opened in September 2025, all remain closed and their potential reopenings/relocations, save for Rreal Tacos which plans to reopen in early November, are unclear at this time.
Other restaurants such as Fudo and Lagarde remain open, as they are in separate buildings and therefore were not directly affected by the fire.
Bad Daddy's in September 2025 closed its restaurant at Roswell Marketplace in Roswell but the North Carolina-based chain continues to operate Atlanta area locations in Decatur, Marietta and Smyrna.

I don't see how any establishment that has the adjective "Bad" as part of its name can expect to have any kind of sustained success.
Damn man this is really sad. I have been a patron since it opened and really love the staff. I knew when the fire happened it would take a while but the reconstruction has taken a really long time. God bless the staff I hope they found new employment

I have no clue how the Smyrna one stays in business. Their service is horrendous.
@ooh ooh do Smyrna next - why? You don't like it? OK, don't go. Do you think there's a list of places waiting to go into that spot if they close? Why wish a business that employs people, pays taxes, helps the economy, etc. close? I'll never understand this view.

The food was not really good at all. Regardless of the word bad. It’s the food not the word.
