The locally owned cidery closed its cidery and tasting room last May after eight years in business. In an email to ToNeTo Atlanta ahead of the closure, co-owner and cidermaker Jackie Waice said "The reason for our decision [to close] was based solely on licensing issues we are currently facing with the state. These new restrictions are making it impossible to grow in manufacturing while still operating our tasting room in the manner we have been operating since our opening." The new partnership with Fire Maker resolved that issue.

Eggslut, a trendy west coast breakfast spot known for their egg sandwiches, is coming to Atlanta. ToNeTo Atlanta first got wind of the planned opening in early August but was unable at that time to confirm where exactly at The Krog District the eatery would open. A recent press release from The Krog District confirmed its opening but was vague about its exact location. ToNeTo Atlanta was later able to confirm that Eggslut is due to open in the roughly 2,000 square foot former AKT fitness space between Woof Gang Bakery and the new Eclipse di Luna. The restaurant has zero connection to the Slutty Vegan and instead its name "refers to the popular phrase which developed among foodies in the mid-2000s that describes people who serve every dish topped by an egg." There are currently just six locations across the country, four of which are in southern California, with another at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. Opening along The BeltLine in Atlanta may seem like a slam dunk, but the new breakfast spot is also opening alongside where PopUp Bagels plans to open and close to where Emerald City Bagels, which also serves egg sandwiches, already operates.

It closed after only a few years in business. Now a new franchise is coming to the Buckhead mall and will be located on the mall's plaza level, near California Pizza Kitchen, according to the mall's website.

Brack's Kitchen owner Brack Rowe tells ToNeTo Atlanta he hopes to make a seamless transition from the old space to the new space in mid-to-late November. Popular intown Indian eatery Cafe Bombay is on the move. The casual Indian restaurant has been located near the Target at North Druid Hills and Briarcliff Roads for more than two decades, but closed the restaurant effective September 28. Its closure, and that of neighboring eatery Tin Roof Cantina, is to make way for a massive redevelopment including a hotel and apartments planned for the overall parcel. A new dine-in, takeout, and catering location of Cafe Bombay is slated to open in "about a week" at Global Mall (5675 Jimmy Carter Boulevard), just off exit 99 of I-85 in Norcross. About a week later, the eatery will open a small, takeout only location about a mile away from the former Briarcliff restaurant, at 3145 Briarcliff Road. The new location will occupy an endcap of a small strip center near Mo's Pizza, previously home to Chinese takeout spot, Dragon Palace.

Eggslut is a horrible name. That won’t last long.
Great info.
This was a quality update post.
Thank you Eli. Great update and information as always!
Tragic that Rexall Grill closed. Good food, once was good prices.
Change in ownership to an Asian family changed how it was run which would have been fine except prices went up and service quality went down largely due to difficulty in communicating.
Next door competition of Family Restaurant, also Asian family ran, was showing how it was done with staff that could communicate and just slightly better prices. For over a year would see one lot with cars and Rexall's with none despite being essentially the same.
The end isn't a surprise. Just sad.
That Snellville Davison’s has been doing well! Been shopping at Davison’s since the 50’s. Love that they are so close to my home now.
Eggslut is delicious. Their location in the Cosmo in vegas is always flooded with people.
Intrigued by Beechwood Tavern, and went to their website to check out the menu. No pricing, won't be going there, don't need any surprises.
Come back and check this comment in a few years. Yeah, it's an odd name. But the locations they have are super popular. And the food is pretty tasty as well.
If I’m wrong, more power to them. But just because it works in other markets don’t mean it will here.
Sad about the old Rexall but got to admit I haven't been by in years. When I worked off of Satellite Blvd, we would visit a couple of times a month. I guess it was one of those places you just assumed would always be there.
I prefer the Omelette Whore in San Bernardino
Just kiss already and get it over with
wonder if Rusty Taco works anywhere else?
The price is $457.89
