A new location of The Cheesecake Factory is opening this summer in metro Atlanta. ToNeTo Atlanta first reported on the planned restaurant in January, and the company is now hiring ahead of its imminent opening.
At The Collection, Cheesecake Factory joins several other casual sit-down restaurants including Ted's Montana Grill, Carrabba's Italian Grill, Marlow's Tavern, Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q, and Red Robin.
The Cheesecake Factory first entered the Atlanta market in 1993 with a location on Peachtree Road in Buckhead, just the eighth in the nation for the chain. That location later moved to Lenox Square in 2014. The company also operates restaurants in Dunwoody (Perimeter Mall, 2000) Alpharetta (North Point Mall, 2004), Cumberland (Cumberland Mall, 2006), and its "newest" in Buford (Mall of Georgia, 2013).
In addition to opening smaller restaurants, Cheesecake Factory is also looking to grow some of its smaller brands. Many of these smaller brands were acquired in 2019 as part of the company acquisition of Fox Restaurant Concepts and include brands such as The Henry, Culinary Dropout, North Italia, and Flower Child, the latter three concepts with existing Atlanta area units.
The company currently operates Flower Child restaurants in Buckhead, Sandy Springs, and West Midtown; North Italia restaurants in Buckhead and Dunwoody; and Culinary Dropout in Dunwoody. (Culinary Dropout closed in West Midtown in January 2025 after about thirteen months in business)
One brand not being expanded is Grand Lux Cafe, which the company closed at Phipps Plaza in Buckhead in May 2023 and has shrunk as a chain to just six units nationally.
Are you excited for the opening of The Cheesecake Factory in Cumming? Where else in metro Atlanta would you like to see Cheesecake Factory open? What other Cheesecake Factory owned brand would you like to see open or expand in metro Atlanta?

Nothing against Cheesecake Factory as many people love it, but that lineup of restaurants is very underwhelming!
Replacement for North Point which will close upon its lease completion.
Blah blah hookah, blah blah chicken, blah blah racist poem….will go out of business, no good, bad food, I know better, blah blah pppptttttt
Conyers Georgia definitely needs one
They'll likely do well. Good luck.
I worked at the cheesecake factory for three years and will NEVER eat there. it's dirty in the kitchen and back rooms and the servers are nasty.
If you're so annoyed by the content posted here, why bother to look at it. Go be a jackass somewhere else.
Will Penny and Bernadette be waitresses at this new location?
You forgot obligatory "TRADER JOE'S"
@ 4:35 PM: I wish I had your type of free time, to just make posts on a blog I don't like!
😆 Hope so
Will Penny and Judy, with Dr Smith behind the bar.
So you’re nasty?
@3:10 If you don’t like it, then why are you posting?
When they first opened in Atlanta on Peachtree they were great. Unfortunately I've had some very unpleasant experiences at all four of their metro locations including verbally abusive staff and managers. Seems they went downhill after COVID!!
